Joe Connor is a British film director with multiple nominations, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and British Arrows, as well as seven UK Music Video Awards. He has directed music videos and campaigns for Coldplay, Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Land Rover, BBC, Volvo, and Louis Vuitton. His work for The Rolling Stones was also preserved in the British Film Institute archive due to its cultural importance.

Alongside his commercial work, Joe has directed three feature-length documentaries, including A Message to You, a portrait of Terry Hall and The Specials, and Wild Wood, a film exploring the life and music of Paul Weller. Both received Gold awards at the 46th Telly Awards.

Originally trained as a theatre director at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Joe brings a background in performance, storytelling and visual experimentation to his filmmaking, creating films that get into the bones and stay with you long after they have finished.

Outside of filmmaking, Joe released a folk album under the pseudonym Vincent Sonder recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn Studio and is one half of the electronic music project Supermodel, whose debut single Push, was nominated for a UK Music Video Award alongside Charli XCX, Fred again and The Chemical Brothers.
